Following the international success of SUQQU Extra Rich Cream Foundation which has amassed a global cult following since its debut in 2016,  SUQQU has released their latest innovation – Extra Rich Glow Cream Foundation.  I was very excited to try it out!   Who doesn’t love a good foundation right?

The concept

SUQQU believes that makeup shouldn’t become tired-looking and patchy over time.  Instead, time can actually enhance and deepen your skin’s beauty.  Just like the Extra Rich Cream Foundation, Extra Rich Glow Cream Foundation is formulated with twelve beautifying Japanese extracts which champion hydration, SUQQU has also added two extra powerful moisturising agents (water-soluble collagen and hyaluronic acid) to the formula.  The addition of special moisturisers will deeply moisturise the skin progressively with wear time, giving you a glowy and healthy complexion.

The shade range

There are seven shades in the range.   Housed in a weighty luxurious glass jar with a golden metallic cap, the foundation contains SPF15 (except shade 004 which offers SPF13 protection).

I found the above chart very helpful in the shade selecting process thus I have included here for your convenience.

I have three shades to show you here.  Shade 003 matches me perfectly and I’m around NC25 skin tone for reference.

The performance

As the name suggests, SUQQU Extra Rich Glow Cream Foundation has a creamy texture but fear not it feels very lightweight on.  The foundation glides on effortlessly and smoothes over my skin imperfections.  It offers a medium coverage with a satin finish that looks fresh and natural.  While Nude Wear Liquid Foundation offer a very light and natural finish (reviewed here), Extra Rich Glow Cream Foundation can certainly cover and even out skin texture and pigmentation without looking cakey.

The finish is not as glowy as the name implied and makes it compatible with my oily skin.  Basically, you don’t get a full dose of glow upon application but rather continuously during wear.  I feel this would be very beneficial for skin types that gets drier and patchier as the day progresses.  I notice my complexion stays healthy and luminous throughout wear.  With the transition into the much colder months, SUQQU Extra Rich Glow Cream Foundation is exactly what my skin needs.

Longevity-wise, I’m pretty happy with it, staying perfect over 6 hours on my oily skin.  If I’m in a hot environment or doing anything strenuous, I would need to blot around 5 hours of wear.  The foundation doesn’t separate or get patchy over time which is always a good thing.

Overall thoughts

SUQQU Extra Rich Glow Cream Foundation takes foundations to the next level.  Not only it provides a flawless complexion but also deeply nourishes your skin during wear.

SUQQU Extra Rich Glow Cream Foundation is available at Selfridges, Harrods and Fenwick Bond Street.
