BE ADVENTUROUS WITH URBAN DECAY BORN TO RUN COLLECTION

If you follow me for a while, you might know I’m a bit of a traveller (Instagram post).  As they say “Life is a journey, not a destination”, travel far until you find yourself!

For that reason the packaging of the Born To Run (BTR) collection was very appealing to me.  Those awe-inspiring destinations!  And I am so chuffed that I can recognise some of them!

The collection consists of a 21-pan palette, setting spray, three 24/7 Glide-On eye pencils and three new Vice lipsticks.  I was sent the Born To Run Eyeshadow Palette.  I was over the moon when I opened the parcel!  Never enough eyeshadow palettes, especially one that I have been eyeing up on for a while!

Packaging

The shadows are housed in a slim and solid case with a beautiful built-in mirror.  The palette closes securely and feels very sturdy.  Very travel-friendly!

The pans are in good sizes and separated well so the shadows don’t get contaminated.

Shade range

There’s a beautiful range of shades with a variety of finishes.  You have neutrals, bronzed, deeper shades in matte and shimmer finishes.

I find all shades are ultra pigmented with great blendability.  With the exception of Hell Ride, all shades have smooth and velvety texture.

The idea with the collection is that wherever you are or whatever your dream destination is, you only need the shades in the BTR palette to create your “in the moment” look.  The palette is indeed very versatile.  You can go for a natural look, warm-toned finish or go out of your comfort zones with deep green or blue.  Go with your moods, whether it’s an easy and effortless finish with just a wash of one shade or go all elaborate and dimensional with as many shades as you wish.

Performance

I have almost all of Urban Decay Eyeshadow palettes, and in my experience Urban Decay does them well.  My latest additions Naked Heat Palette and Naked Petite Heat (reviewed here) are some of my go-to palettes.  BTR quality and performance are on par with the Naked Heat palettes.

All shades truly perform!  They blend/diffuse effortlessly and layer beautifully.  None of the looks I’ve tried turned muddy.  On my oily lids (primed),  I would notice some creasing after 7 hours.

Overall, I really love Urban Decay Born To Run palette.  It is a high quality and versatile palette, with a fabulous range of shades that you would never struggle for looks!

You can find Born To Run Palette on Urban Decay and various stockists.

This does look like a really beautiful palette if you like shimmers and if you want to experience more colours but still have those neutral shades 🙂
