NIP+FAB MAKEUP ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY EVENT AND NEW RELEASES

As soon as I came back from my Vietnam trip, I couldn’t wait to attend Nip+Fab Makeup First Year Anniversary, even though I was totally jetlagged!  It was a beautiful event, made extra special by the presence of the talented Mario.  To top it up, I also had a chance to meet my idol, Mrs Maria Hatzistefanis!

Some pretty new releases were being revealed at the event, with Mario demonstrating how to use them.

  • FIRED UP Eyeshadow Palette £12.99
  • BRONZED Bronzer Palette £8.95
  • BLUSHED BRIGHTS Blusher Palette £8.95
  • Loose Setting Powders in TRANSLUCENT, BANANA £8.95

For me, what caught my eyes the most must be the FIRED UP eyeshadow palette.  I LOVE warm toned eyeshadows! The FIRED UP palette contains such interesting and beautiful mixture of shades.  There are beautiful burnt oranges, smoky purples and intense deep red eyeshadows.

The palette includes 6 matte shades and 6 shimmer shades.  All shades swatch beautifully.  The texture is silky and finely milled; some are silkier than others.  I find CELESTIAL is the only shade with obvious shimmers.  The other 5 shimmer shades appear more satin-y.

All shades are blendable and layer well.  You can use them wet or dry – applied with a dampened brush will result in a more intense look.

I have been playing with the palette continuously for the last few days, trying to create as many looks with it as possible.  You really can do a lot with it!  From simple daytime looks to hot burnt orange grungy looks or heated smoky night time looks and so much more.  Very versatile!  The eyeshadows last well on my primed oily lids, past 8 hours before I detect any creasing.

Overall FIRED UP is such a fabulous palette!  If I have to be picky, I’d like to have a light ivory shade for brow bone highlight but then again I have the SCULPTED 1 palette for that! (Reviewed here)

As Mario said at the event, the palette gives some luxury brands a run for their money!  And I totally agree!

Just look at the swatches! Simply stunning shades!  Swatches were done using fingers onto my moisturised arm.

Next up we have the BRONZED Bronzer Palette.  There are four shades of bronzed tones in the palette – two are shades of bronzed matte powders to warm your complexion (you can contour with them too if desired) and two are beautiful shades of golden highlighters for a radiant glow.

The powders are finely-milled and soft to the touch allowing feather-light application that blends seamlessly.  There’s a little powder kickup with the highlighters but it’s not a deal breaker.

I love the healthy sheen Champagne Shimmer gives me, without emphasising any skin textures.  I think if you’re any lighter than me (NC25ish),  both highlighters might be too dark for you.

I mix, layer shades depending on my mood for instant warmth and radiance.  Quite a nifty palette!

Then we have the BLUSHED BRIGHTS Blusher Palette.

The shades are certainly BRIGHT and super pigmented!  Again, the powders have beautiful textures, silky smooth and finely-milled.  I can’t emphasise enough how pigmented these blushers are, mind-blowingly pigmented!  You should seek for a soft, featherly cheek brush to use with these blushers.  A little dip is enough to do both cheeks!  It is safer to build the intensity slowly.

I love the variation in the shades.  With these 4 shades, you have layers of possibility and they can be mixed together for your desired shade.  The blushers blend out effortlessly, meld into my skin imperceptibly.

This Blusher Palette would suit all skin tones!  Well done Nip+Fab!

This Spring/Summer, Nip+Fab is also releasing two Loose Setting Powders, Translucent and Banana.

For a drugstore offering, the packaging is incredibly sleek with an inclusion of a soft puffer and a built-in mirror.  Great for touch-ups!  I am super impressed!

The powders are ultra finely milled and have no scent.  I LOVE using the Banana powder to set/bake my under-eyes, instant brightening!  I use the Translucent powder to set my foundation and love the weightless feel.  Both powders lock my base in place and prevent any settling in fine lines/smile lines.  The powders are undetectable once applied.

Final thoughts

I’m truly impressed with these new offerings from Nip+Fab, such quality at an affordable price.  I’d would recommend them all, especially the FIRED UP eyeshadow palette and the BANANA Loose Setting Powder.

The new releases are available now at Superdrug (Instore and Online), also available on Nip+Fab website, FeelUnique and Lookfantastic.

Will you picking any of these up? Have you tried Nip+Fab makeup?

Thanks for being here today!

Much love always,

Sandyxo

All of these palettes look beautiful, the warm toned eyeshadows with the purples and pinks are so nice! Champagne Shimmer in the bronzed palette could also double as a highlight 🙂

What a gorgeous collection, the Fired Up palette especially has caught my attention. They don’t have nip & Fab in my local Superdrug, but I’m tempted to make an online order! xx
