I don’t know why I tried to hold out for so long before purchasing this beauty. Java Sun Bronzer from the coveted Victoria Beckham x Estée Lauder collaboration was released last year and re-promoted this year. I wanted it last year but had other items from the collection to collect first (you can read my thoughts here, here and here)! Fast forward a year later, I decided I had to have it!
Well here she is in all of her glory. The packaging is as lush as I have imagined!
The bronzer is housed in a pebbled leather casing with a gold trim. Utterly chic and luxurious! Of course, it totally reflects Victoria Beckham luxury style. The compact is weighty and feels sturdy. It comes with a large mirror, which I always appreciate in a compact.
You get a massive amount with this bronzer, 12g! I think it will be a long while before I’d hit pan!
The bronzers come in two shades Saffron Sun and Java Sun. I believe Saffron Sun is lighter and slightly cooler. I chose the Java Sun because I felt it would suit my medium skin tone better. To me, both shades seem relatively light and will probably only suit fair to medium skin tones.
Java Sun Bronzer is a matte and doesn’t contain any shimmer. The powder texture is incredibly smooth and silky to the touch with a little bit of excess product kicked up in the pan. The tone of the bronzer is perfect, not too cool and not too warm. It’s gives a very natural finish on my NC20-ish skin tone with some contouring effect. I find that the bronzer has excellent pigmentation and the silky texture makes blending and diffusing extremely easy and effortless. It wears well for eight hours on me before some fading takes place.
I feel Java Sun Bronzer will be greatly appreciate by folks who enjoy a natural finish. It is hard to overdo with this bronzer. It is pretty on and absolutely luxurious to use. If you’re any darker than me, the bronzer might not be suitable.
Overall, I am thrilled to finally have Java Sun Bronzer in my collection. I adore the texture of the powder greatly. I must admit the packaging is what I really enjoy the most. Is there an equivalent bronzer out there that would cost significantly less? Most probably! But does it have Victoria Beckham signature style on it? Well, you know the answer to that one!
I purchased mine form Estée Lauder site.
Did you pick up anything for Victoria Beckham x Estée Lauder collection?
