RIMMEL The Only 1 Matte Lipsticks Review

rimmelmattemain

I’m excited to write about this post!  If you follow me on Instagram, you’d know I’m a matte lipstick addict.  I have been trying out the new Rimmel The Only 1 Matte lipstick range and I am ready to tell you about my experience.

There are 9 shades in the collection, ranging from nude to pink to red to purple!!  First of all, let me put it out there that the packaging is not in the luxurious ranking but it’s cute and secure.  And if red is your colour then you’re in for a real treat.

There’s some cute details on the packaging that I adore. I love how the shades are co-ordinated on the packaging, extremely handy for those rushed mornings:)

Here’s the line up:

And the names:

The below swatches were taken indoors in natural light.  On my moisturised arm with no primer, these are 1 or 2 swipe swatches.  My arm was stained heavily after swatching and needed a few baby wipes to clean them off.

Hopefully you can tell from the swatches that the lipsticks are pigmented.  More importantly they live up to the claims: full impact colour, lightweight, long lasting and non-drying.  They do transfer though.  My lips start to feel dry after 4 hours of wear, bearing in mind my lips are always on the dry side naturally.

The slanted lipstick bullet makes the application a breeze.  I can also use the edge to line my lips.  The lipstick has a strong raspberry smell which puts me off a little at first but once applied it didn’t bother me.

Overall, if you can’t tell already I am in love with Rimmel The Only 1 Matte lipstick range.  There’s always one of these in my bag now.  My favourite shades have to be The Matte Factor 810 and High Flyers 610, both are Fall appropriate.  Oh did I say I love the names too!  So very cute and apt!  The purple shade intimidates me a little but watch out world Sandy will sport some ombré lips very soon:)  I would recommend you to check these out if you’re in a market for some matte lipsticks.  They are available at any Rimmel stockists such as Boots or Superdrug.

Any shade tickles your fancy?  Are you a matte-addict?

Hope this was helpful.

Until next time beauties.

Much love always,

Sandyxo

Rimmel makes some of the best lipsticks at the drugstore. I like how they colour coded these ones with the band on the tube! High Flyer and Salute look like my kind of colours! Thanks for swatching all of them!

Salute & Leader of pink are my favourites. I think they did a great job with shades because there is at least one for everyone
