SUQQU AW18 COLLECTION REVIEW

If Autumn is your favourite season of the year, you’re in for a treat with SUQQU’s autumn collection!  The collection is inspired by nature.  The vivid hues, radiance and textures found in the natural world have been transformed into a bold statement.  You will see beautifully contrasting eye makeup, fresh dewy lips, naturally lively cheeks and polished nails.

The collection consist of 6 new Glow Touch Eyes, three Designing Color Eye palettes, two Pure Color Blushes, three Moisture Rich Lipsticks and three limited Edition Nail Color Polish.

Designing Color Eyes 120 RYOUKOSUMOSU (limited edition)| £46

Talk about contrasting eye makeup!  This quad is not something I would normally gravitate towards or dare to try.  I was pleasantly surprised at the fresh, airy feel of the finished look.   I used the lightest lavender all over my mobile lid, defined my crease with the earthy brown followed by the purple shade on the centre of my lids and finished off with the minty green in the corners of my eyes.  Contrasting and captivating!

All shades in the palette have micro shimmers and lean cool tone.  I hope I have managed to capture the glowy and luminosity of the eyeshadows in my swatches below!

I love the pigmentation and the creamy texture of all the shadows.  They blend and layer beautifully. They last well over 6/7 hours over my primed oily lids.

Glow Touch Eyes| £24

I must congratulate SUQQU on this new wonderful offering.  This is liquid eyeshadows done right!  What’s special is the creamy smooth, velvety texture that can be applied without any patchiness or bunching up.  The Glow Touch Eyes are extremely blendable with incredible longevity.  I would use the slanted doe foot applicator to apply directly to my eyelids then use my finger or a small synthetic brush to blend out the edges.

The pigmentation is excellent and buildable.  I’d let previous layer dry down first before applying the next.

There are ultra fine glitters in both shades.  The finish is luminous and glistening rather than glittery.  True to SUQQUs sophistication and complexity!

02 KOUKIZUKI is such a gorgeous warm yellow gold with various sizes of shimmers to give extra depth.

04 TSUYAHIIRAGI is a medium dark khaki also with micro shimmers of multiple sizes.

I have layered 02 on top of 04 and loved the finished look!

Both shades last well on my oily lids (primed) without any weird separations or shimmer migration.  They work well under and over powder eyeshadows too.

There are 6 shades available.  I have my eyes on 03 KUREKAZE (Light Brown) next.  I really do hope SUQQU will bring out more shades soon!

Pure Color Blush 109 HIKARICHA| £32

There are two blushes in this collection and both are limited editions.  I love the design of these duos! 109 is a perfect natural blush/contour and highlight duo.  The left side is a light brown tan that can provide natural contouring.  The light gold highlighter imparts a healthy and natural glow.

The powders are firmly pressed in the pan.  That said, product can be picked up effortlessly with the softest SUQQU Cheek Brush. Both powders have excellent pigmentation and blend out seamlessly.

Moisture Rich Lipstick 109 YUUKAGAMI| £30

There are three lipsticks being released in the collection.  I have shade 106 YUUKAGAMI which is described as a classic red.  On my lips it’s a flattering rosy red which ties in well with the eyeshadow palette 120.

The lipstick has a balm-like texture which makes it very hydrating and comfortable to wear.  The pigmentation is sheer and slightly buildable.  I love the glossy, juicy and fresh finish.  Such a delight to use and re-applying is such a breeze too.

If you have dry lips, you would appreciate the healthy dose of hydration from the lipstick.

A beautiful collection from SUQQU!  I love the effortless, light and glowy vibes that the collection offers.  The Glow Touch Eyes are my top recommendation from the collection.

The collection is available at Selfridges today!  Available at Harrods and Fenwick Bond Street from 23rd August.

Anything catches your eyes?

With love always,
