Founded by Sean Lim, the innovative Korean brand Touch In Sol is definitely getting some real attention in the beauty world with its advanced formulas, eye-catching packaging and witty names! This is not the first time I talk about Touch In Sol on my blog, the coveted No Pore Blem Primer was reviewed here.
I have been trying out a few more base products from the brand over the last few weeks and I’m ready to share my thoughts with you.
The TOC TOC Toning Capsules Base | £16
I love the concept of this primer. The multi-pearl capsules pop to brighten and illuminate the skin! I also appreciate that the formula contains smoothing natural botanicals – including jasmine, lavender, rose and hibiscus extracts.
Housed in a weighted glass bottle that oozes luxury. The pearls look beautiful and indeed interesting. The primer has a gel texture that is quite soothing on application. I normally take a little product, warm and smooth the gel between my 2 finger tips then gently dab and pat until all is absorbed. Some of the white pearls are harder to dissolve, so I ensure I pop them out before dabbing onto my face. The primer is hydrating and can effectively even out your blemishes. It leaves a smooth canvas with a tacky feel (not overly) that makeup glides on and adheres well. I find that I would need to use less foundation to cover the same area. My skin look visibly smoother and more radiant yet it doesn’t get too oily. My makeup lasts longer and yields less settling into smile lines.
There is such a calming lavender scent to the primer. I can’t stop myself from taking a good sniff now and again:)
Don’t Tell Anybody Dual Concealer | £14
I don’t know about you but I just love this witty name! Maybe I am just sad lol! Well, this crafty dual-ended little number features both stick and liquid concealers so that you can customise coverage for different areas of your face. The formula is also enriched with luscious botanicals – including orange, cherry blossom, lotus and lily – as well as protective vitamin E and hydrolysed collagen to firm.
The liquid formula comes with a brush applicator. The texture is thin with a touch of gel-like texture, a little bouncy, tacky feel which I prefer. As you can see in the swatch below, the liquid concealer has a peachy undertone to take away any darkness or dullness. It’s wonderful for brightening your under- eye areas. It is convenient to use for perfecting your brows too. The concealer feels hydrating and doesn’t crease on me (I don’t set my under-eye concealers immediately, I normally let it sink in then seal it again with my warm finger before setting it.)
Now I have to say the stick end is my favourite end:) It is heavy duty! It is richly pigmented yet blendable. Perfect for precise concealing, covering spots and blemishes with ease!
My life feels complete! This baby will come with me EVERYWHERE!
FLAWLESS Skin Top Coat | £22.50
This is another innovative and unique offering from Touch In SOL. Whenever I feature it on my Instagram, many have enquired what this Top Coat is! Well it’s a ingenious hybrid between a primer, BB Cream, foundation and powder. Top Coat is also enriched with luscious natural botanicals – including rose oil, cranberry, blueberry, red ginseng and pomegranate – so it nourishes your skin too!
Now doesn’t that sound like a product that we all need! Time is of the essence (at least for a busy mum like myself) so this clever fluid can conveniently covers four steps in one. Genius!
For some reasons, I expected the Top Coat to have a light coverage. Boy I was wrong, the pigmentation is amazing! I’d only need one drop to cover half of my face!
Over the last few weeks, I experimented Top Coat with various applicators and I feel that using my fingers would give the most seamless and natural finish. But I am happy with using an oval brush on most days:) I also tried using Top Coat with other primers, no setting powder and setting powder. Top Coat worked well in all occasions. It sets down to a velvety powder finish. Since I have oily skin, I feel “safer” to set my face with a powder but if you have dry to normal skin I think you definitely could do without powder. Top Coat feels lightweight on and evens out any redness effortlessly. The finish is rather brightening and youthful which I love. It lasts well on my oily skin up to 6 hours before I feel the need to blot.
There are 2 shades available, Light and Natural. I have shade Natural and it matches my NC25-ish well. Below are swatches taken indoors in natural lighting.
There you have it, Touch In SOL hasn’t disappointed me with these solid offerings. They will definitely remain in my everyday rotation. I do hope Touch In SOL will bring out more shades in the Don’t Tell Anybody Dual Concealer and the Flawless Top Coat so that more people can experience them.
You can find Touch In SOL at various stockists such as Cult Beauty, FeelUnique and ASOS.

Hi Leena, thank you for the comment. The 2 available shades are meant to be versatile. However I think they might be too light for your complexion. Unfortunately, most Korean brands that I have come across do have a narrow foundation shade range:(
This is so helpful as I am so curious about the brand. The Primer especially is calling to me, what an innovate design, I don’t think I have ever used a primer with bursting pearls! xx
