BOLD AND SEXY LIPS WITH BUXOM COSMETICS

Buxom Cosmetics is one of those coveted brands that I have been wanting to try for the longest time!  Unfortunately, the brand hasn’t been so readily available in the UK.  This year good thing has just happened!  The brand has just dropped on Feelunique!  And I am truly excited to try some of their cult products out!

Buxom is all about Big, Bold and Sexy and that everyday should start with a tingle! Let’s find out if I can be fabulous and self-assured with these lip products!

Big & Sexy Bold Gel Matte Lipstick in Classified Crimson | £15

Big and Sexy Bold Gel Lipsticks come in 30 shades, both in matte and satin finishes.  They are described as vividly bold yet lightweight and moisturising gel lipsticks.  I happen to agree!

I have shade Classified Crimson. It comes encased in a chubby black bullet with magnetic closing.  Classified Crimson is a bold pinkish red, the kind of shade that could brighten your entire complexion.  It is intensely pigmented and glides over my lips effortlessly.  The finish is a natural, dimensional matte; it doesn’t emphasise my lip lines which is always a plus point.  It feels weightless and non-drying, stays perfect for at least 4 hours.  Transfer does happen if your lips touch anything, a trade-off for a comfortable wear.

Full-On Lip Polish in Samantha |£15

This is a sheer, shimmering and plumping lip gloss.  It is said to contain Vitamin A&E to help keep lips soft and smooth.  The gloss has a cotton candy scent which doesn’t bother me.  The gloss feels light on and not at all sticky.  Truth to be told, I’m not a lip gloss girl normally but I am addicted to this beauty!  The tingling sensation is insane! So powerful and refreshing! The tingling sensation lasts for over 3 hours without eating. My lips look visibly fuller and more voluptuous without any irritation or pain.  I am seriously addicted to the sensation:)

Samantha is a light peachy nude with warm undertone. It is rather sheer and I actually love that.  You can layer it on top of any other lip products.  Samantha would be a perfect pick with a bold and sexy eye look.

Wildly Whipped LightWeight Liquid Lipstick in Centerfold | £15

There are 12 shades available in this range.  I have the shade Centerfold.  It’s a warm peachy nude which happens to be my kind of nude.  it’s such an easy everyday shade!

Buxom Wildly Whipped Lightweight Liquid Lipsticks are said to be enriched with Buxom’s peptide and hyaluronic acid booster, which helps to build volume and stimulate collagen.  Centerfold has a mousse-like texture and feels very lightweight on. The bevelled sponge tip with a perfect angle makes the application extremely easy.  There is a slight chemical scent to the lipstick but not noticeable during application.

Centerfold glides on the lips effortlessly and smooths over any lip lines.  It does not dry down completely and does transfer.  The finish is a super comfy, natural matte.  I feel a slight tingling sensation after application for around 30 minute mark, I detect most of the plumping action during this time.  Centerfold lasts around 3-4 hours and it fades fairly evenly without any flake off or patchiness.  My lips look smooth and luscious during wear.  Reapplication is easy without any product clumping up together.

Plumpline Lip Liner in Espionage | £15

I was intrigued by this baby.  I don’t think I have come across a lip crayon with a built-in brush before.  A very good one at that!  I just LOVE the convenient factor!

Espionage is a bold and beautiful berry plum.  You can line and define your lips with it quite easily and quickly, possibly not as ultra precise as the more slimline standard lip liner.  As mentioned, the built-in brush is actually very good!  The bristles are soft and offer perfect flexibility so you can blend and contour your lips to perfection.  I find Espionage is creamy and pigmented enough to fill in my entirely lips and wear alone.  I also like to add a dab of the Full-On Lip Polish Samantha on top for an added plumping and juicy effect.  On its own, I don’t find Espionage has much plumping property.

Final thoughts

These Buxom lip products are definitely worth checking out.  I love that there is a variety of choice with arrays of colours and finishes.  My favourite would be the Wildly Whipped Liquid Lipstick and The Full-On Lip Polish.   Next on my hit-list are Buxom Lash Waterproof Mascara and a few eyeshadow palettes!
