SLAYING WITH ICONIC LONDON DAY TO SLAY EYESHADOW PALETTE

Iconic London has been known for creating trend-led product range.  This time the founder, Jade Elliott, wanted to design an eyeshadow palette for her ICONIC BAES (fun fact!  BAE stands for Before Anyone Else!).  And after a year in the making, DAY TO SLAY Eyeshadow Palette was born.  Iconic London first eyeshadow palette!

I adore the brand.  Iconic London offers some über cool and unique tools (reviewed here) and on-trend makeup range.  Needless to say I was super excited to play with the palette.

Iconic London Day to Slay Eyeshadow Palette contains 20 eyeshadows and housed in a beautiful weighted, sturdy gold packaging #slay.  There’s a large mirror included which is handy during makeup application.

Let’s open this baby up!

How gorgeous is the colour story! There are 8 matte and 12 of shimmery and metallic shades.  The palette would make an excellent choice to travel with as you can sport an easy laid-back day time look to an all glam night look.

Some more close-ups for your viewing pleasure:)

Here comes the important swatches.  They are all swatched with fingers on my moisturised arm (no primer).  Photos were taken in natural lighting.

Below are the swatches of the first 2 rows

Followed by swatches of the third and fourth rows

And swatches of the last row

I couldn’t help but swatched most of the shimmery and metallic shades together!

Just look at them shimmers shimmers! #onpoint

I think the swatches speak for themselves.  It is a pleasure to use these eyeshadows.  All shades are soft and silky to the touch.  The pigmentation is fantastic with incredible longevity.  As the texture is so soft, I do find there is some powder kick back with some of the shimmers and metallic shades.  You can remedy that by dampen your brush with setting spray and watch the colours pop after too!

If you like shimmers and love to shine,  this palette might just be for you.  I love that the colour scheme is perfect for everyday, there isn’t a shade in the palette that I wouldn’t  reach for.  Oooh, ain’t nothing gonna stop me using some of the shades as highlighters too:)

Are these shades calling your name?
