HOURGLASS AMBIENT STROBE LIGHTING BLUSH BRILLIANT NUDE REVIEW

Hourglass offers some of my favourite powders.  Of course it doesn’t hurt when they always come packaged super sleek and with those lovely marbly designs!

Last year we had a teaser of Hourglass new offering of Ambient Strobe Lighting Blush in a limited edition trio for Holiday 2016.  I couldn’t wait to get my hands on a single to try.  The 3 single shades that are available in the UK are Brilliant Nude, Euphoric Fusion and Iridescent Flash.  I picked up Brilliant Nude for the fabulous easy everyday makeup.

LOOK at the marbly design!  I personally love it!  It’s exciting that no two blushes are the same!  The Ambient Strobe Lighting runs differently in each blush.  I can choose to concentrate my brush in certain areas of the pan depending how much luminosity I’d like to have on the day.

Brilliant Nude is a light peach with very fine gold sparkles .  The powder is extremely finely milled so it can be a little dusty depending what type of brushes you use.  Brilliant Nude offers great buildable pigmentation and blends out like a dream.  The longevity is fabulous too, lasting more than 8 hours on me without any patchiness.  Brilliant Nude goes well with most looks and absolutely perfect for summer time.  The finish is beautiful, natural and luminous without emphasising my skin texture.  The sparkles are visible under direct lighting so you can definitely rock it on a hot summer evening!

Ambient Lighting Blush vs Ambient Strobe Lighting Blush

Ambient Lighting Blushes contain no visible sparkles as far as I can see and the finish is not as luminous.  Of course the amount of luminosity in both types of blushes would depend on the marbling effects.  I’d say if you are someone who doesn’t like your blush to look flat then go for Ambient Strobe Lighting Blushes.

So I’m happy to say that Hourglass hasn’t disappointed me with their new offering.  Brilliant Nude has been my go-to blush since I purchased it.  It is indeed brilliant!:)

Have you tried Hourglass Ambient Strobe Lighting Blush?

Much love always,

Sandyxo

Great review Sandy and stunning photos! Love Hourglass powders, they’re so finely milled and feel like silk on the skin. Will definitely have to add this blush to my collection!
