THE ROYAL CHAT: CHARLOTTE TILBURY MATTE REVOLUTION LIPSTICK THE QUEEN

Charlotte Tilbury offers a fab formula on her matte lipsticks.  I own quite a few of them (some reviewed here and here).  The Queen was a limited edition and was added to my collection November last year then of course it went out of stock.  To celebrate the Queen Birthday this year on Saturday June 17, Charlotte Tilbury brought the lipstick back for a limited time.

Charlotte Tilbury official says:

Darlings, get a REGAL makeup look in seconds! My Matte Revolution lipstick in The Queen features ingredients to make your lips look lit-from-within with its long-lasting, buildable and hydrating formula. This rich, rosy crown-jewel pink lipstick is inspired by and in homage to Her Majesty, Elizabeth II.

WHAT MAKES MATTE REVOLUTION LIPSTICK MAGIC:

•Lipstick is happiness in a tube! Now everyone can create this full, matte lip effect!

•Anti-oxidant Lipstick Tree & Orchid Extract softens, protects and hydrates lips for youthful, healthy lips.

•3D glowing pigments creates an illusion of wider, fuller lips.

•Triglycerides mixed with a perfect blend of oils and waxes gives you long-lasting colour.

•The revolutionary, square, angled tip of the lipstick mimics the shape of a lip brush so you can apply straight from the bullet!

Indeed, I do love the square, angled tip of these Matte Revolution lipsticks as it makes the application a breeze.  On my lips, The Queen is a bright reddish pink with blue undertone.  That being said, The Queen is bright yet day time appropriate (paired with some natural makeup) and absolutely fabulous for the summer time.  Some days, I love deepening the shade with a brown nude lip liner and give the finish some extra dimension.

Below is the swatch of Charlotte Tilbury The Queen on my moisturised arm in natural lighting indoors.  Can you see the glow in the swatch? Interesting formula right!

Aside from the stunning packaging, I rate the lipstick formula highly.  The Queen has excellent pigmentation and glides on my lips without tugging.  The finish isn’t entirely matte and the amazing thing is that it isn’t at all drying even on my very dry lips (I do ensure to moisturise my lips prior application.)   The Queen lasts 4-6 hours on my lips, depending on how much I drink or eat.  For maximum comfort, I do tend to touch up after every 3-4 hours of wear.

So there you have it, my little chat about The Queen:)  I treasure The Queen amongst my Charlotte Tilbury collection as well as my makeup collection.

You can find The Queen | £24 for a limited time here.

Let me know if you enjoy Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution lipsticks or have picked up The Queen.

Much love always,

Sandyxo
