I am always on a look out for a better foundation. The base is everything right! My current go-to foundations are Estée Lauder Double Wear and Urban Decay All Nighter. I came across a few reviews comparing Etude House Double Lasting foundation to Estée Lauder Double Wear and naturally I am intrigued to try.
My quest was assisted by Style Korean. Style Korean is a Korean online retailer who stocks a wide range of Korean cosmetics and skincare (more details here). Style Korean kindly sent Etude House Double Lasting foundation in Sand and Etude House Drawing Eye Brow in Dark Brown for me to try.
Etude House Double Lasting Foundation
I believe there were 5 shades in the range originally. The range has been expanded to 8 shades and that is quite extensive for a Korean foundation. Personally I think the shades run quite light. I am around NC25 and Sand is too light for me. The foundation oxidises on me a but not enough to match my skin tone. After some serious bronzing and contouring, the finished look is not too bad:)
Here are the swatches of the shades taken from Style Korean website for your reference.
Etude House Double Lasting Foundation has a thin and runny consistency. It gives a medium coverage and is buildable. The blendability is excellent giving a flawless finish. It has a strong floral scent that is quite overpowering during application. On me, Etude House Double Lasting foundation lasts around 6 hours before my skin becomes quite oily and shiny (over primer), the foundation is fully rubbed off around my nose area by this time.
Here is the swatch of Etude House Double Lasting foundation on my moisturised arm. You can see the oxidisation in the foundation drop.
I find that Etude House Double Lasting Foundation has a thinner consistency and less coverage than Estée Lauder Double Wear. The oil control is similar in my experience. I do prefer the more natural and flawless finish of Etude House Double Lasting Foundation.
I adore the finish of Etude House Double Lasting Foundation enough to search for a better shade or mixing it with a darker foundation to make it work.
Etude House Drawing Eye Brow
Now this was LOVE at first use. Etude House Drawing Eye Brow very much reminds me of Anastasia Beverley Hills Brow Definer. Apart from it’s better! I never got into using the Anastasia Beverley Hills Brow Definer and I couldn’t seem to achieve the precision I wanted.
Shade dark brow is perfect for my reddish hair.
Etude House Drawing Eye Brow glides on, fills and blends well into my brows giving me defined yet natural brows. The product lasts all day on oily skin. I am super impressed with Etude House Drawing Eye Brow as you can tell. For the price, it is an excellent product. I am intending to repurchase and explore other shades in the range.
Overall, I am once again loving what Etude House has to offer. Total love for Etude House Drawing Eye Brow. I highly recommend it. If you can get your shade right, Etude House Double Lasting foundation is a wonderful product to try.
Have you tried Etude House Double Lasting Foundation and Drawing Eye Brow?
Much love always,
Sandyxo

What a useful guide from Style Korean! I really like the looks of the Etude House Double Lasting Foundation! I’ve never even heard of it before.
And that brow pencil looks like such an affordable option to ABH and the like. Again, never heard of it but now I want it too! 😛

Haha yay! These items really caught my eyes when I was browsing Style Korean site! Etude House Drawing Eye Brow is pure love. So affordable and effective! Thank you for reading lovely!xo
Both of these products look great! I like the ABH Brow Definer okay, but it seems to pull out my brow hairs when I use it. Sounds like this pencil is a better substitute. I’m not sure about the foundation for my dry skin, but the flawless finish you described draws me in!

I love the Etude House Drawing Eye Brow! and I have been wanting to try that foundation, but just couldn’t figure out my shade >.<
I really have dry skin & don’t need much coverage so I would love if they did this foundation in lighter version 🙂 Brow pencil looks great so I’m buying one for my sister to test out (she’s always on the lookout for better one)
Sandy, thank you for the introduction to Etude House. This is a brand I’ve been seeing a lot in Kbeauty all over Instagram and have been dying to try. I’m also a fan of the EL Double Wear, though I don’t tend to wear it as much as I used to. Being primarily a stay at home mom, my go to makeup routine involves minimal makeup on a daily basis and foundations that look very natural and feel light on the skin. The Etude base seems to check all the boxes, wish they were more readily available so I could figure out my shade. I really like the brow pencil as well. It seems so easy to use! Enjoy the goodies and thank you for sharing the post!
