It has been absolutely miserable and freezing cold in London this January. I hauled Guerlain Happy Glow Meteorites Pearls and Blush to look forward to a fresh, beautiful spring…
To celebrate 30 years since the launch of the original Meteorites Pearls, Guerlain introduces the Happy Rosy Glow for the Spring 2017 collection. The collection offers 4 limited edition pieces. I picked up the Meteorites Pearls and Blush from Escentual. The Happy Glow Blush is the first ever pressed Meteorites blush from Guerlain. It is exciting indeed!
Guerlain Meteorites Happy Glow Pearls
In this edition, The Guerlain Meteorites Happy Glow Pearls comes in a beautiful soft pink opalescent sphere. Needless to say the packaging got my full attention first of course:) There’s a very pretty fluffy pink puffer included inside the ball. I don’t use the puffer to apply the powder but it is very much admired.
Guerlain Meteorites Happy Glow Pearls is designed to be a finish powder, the last thing you use in your makeup routine (after setting powder) to blend everything together to give you a flawless natural glow. It works to balance the colour of your complexion whilst enhancing radiance. The notable difference with this edition is the inclusion of a large “Rainbow Glow” pearls, which offers a multicoloured shimmer. The other three shades provides colour correcting effects: champagne to brighten and reflect light, mauve counteracts yellow tones and pink refreshes the complexion. The pearls are, as always, infused with Guerlain signature violet fragrance.
In this edition, the product that I could pick up by swirling my index finger inside the pot feels more finely milled. As you can see in my swatch later on in the post, the powder could probably leave some white cast on darker skin tone. There is definitely less shimmers in this edition which I actually don’t mind at all. This makes it more compatible with my oil skin.
As with other Meteorites Pearls edition, the blurring and radiance enhancing effect is very subtle. One might ask if Guerlain Meteorites is a necessity, I would honestly say it isn’t. But if makeup is what gives you joy then these pretties will definitely make you happy.
Guerlain Meteorites Happy Glow Blush
My other pick from the collection is Guerlain’s first pressed powder Meteorites blush. I adore the mosaic pattern which is imprinted all the way through the blush. The compact does not feel as substantial as I would imagine, a tad less luxurious for the price.
Guerlain Happy Glow blush is a 2-in-1 product, serves as a highlighter and blush. It is also infused with violet fragrance. The blush is quite hard pressed so you need a stiff brush to pick up the product. On swatching the blush, there were noticeable medium silver sparkles which did worry me a little. However on my skin, the blush gives me a luminous glow, natural flushed from within finish. I love it… it’s like a lovely English Rose sort of flush. The blush has a sheer, buildable coverage and blends out beautifully. The sparkles are visible under some lighting but my skin texture is not emphasised. The blush lasts 6-7 hours on me.
Here are the important swatches on my moisturised arm, taken indoors in natural day light.
Guerlain KissKiss Lipstick
Guerlain also released 2 classic, creamy satin lipsticks in a 564 Pearly Pink and 565 Blossom Glow. The lipsticks come in the opalescent soft pink packaging. Very cute of course! I chose to skip the lipsticks as I am trying to be good with my spending this year:) The lipsticks look very moisturising and easy to use. I attached some photos taken from chicprofile blog for your reference.
Overall, I am delighted to have Guerlain Happy Rosy Glow Meteorites Pearls and Blush in my collection. I absolutely adore the packaging. I have been reaching for Guerlain Happy Glow Blush on a daily basis for the last month, either on its own or as a blush topper to add a hint of healthiness.
Did you pick anything up from Guerlain Happy Rosy Glow collection? Does any of these products catch your attention?
Much love,

I love this brand! Love the packaging. They look so lux! I must check on their pressed meteorites blush. It looks like a beautiful shade for spring!
So pretty!
I wasn’t interested in the perles until this post! I wish the container had a bit more to it, but gosh if the perles aren’t beautiful. The pink blush and lipsticks are so pretty as well.
