Charlotte Tilbury swamped Instagram with her Hot Lips collection where she has “stolen the beauty DNA” of each women to create a shade that perfectly pays tribute to them as well as teaming up with the charity Women For Women International.
From every sale of a Hot Lips lipstick in the first two months of launch, £1 will be donated to Women for Women. Tilbury and her 12 celebrity collaborators also plan to raise awareness for the charity through a #lipstickconfidence social media campaign taking place in July in tandem with the launch.
“Lipstick is that thing that pulls you together, makes you feel like a woman – it gives you confidence and makes you feel powerful,” Tilbury said. “That’s why I’ve called on all of my friends, these beautiful and inspirational women, to help me spread this message as much as we can.”
I took my time with this collection as I have quietly had a word with myself to be selective with lipsticks:)) I have a sufficient stash to carry on and possibly can not finish them all before they go off.
Finally I made it to the counter, swatched and walked away as nothing was really calling my name. On one of my Instagram posts, a few beauties raved about Super Cindy so I made my way back to a Charlotte Tilbury counter for it. On trying Super Cindy out, I find that it is a nice corally nude. I wanted something with a little more punch so I decided on Sexy Sienna. Anything for the lip print!:)
First up, the sleek rose gold packaging:The cute lip print of course:
The swatch below was taken in direct sunlight with the warmth being toned down a little.
Sexy Sienna is a matte, muted peachy coral. In line with her other matte revolution lipsticks I have, the formula is slightly opaque and slight buildable. I find Sexy Sienna to be comfy on my lips and lasting for more than 6 hours before fading away with minimal eating or drinking. Sexy Sienna doesn’t dry my lips out which is a very good thing. The texture feels smooth and slightly creamy. There is a slight clingy feel on my lips but I don’t mind it. Personally, I don’t detect any scent nor discernible taste. If you’re looking for a complete matte, non-transfer lipstick, Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution range is not for you.
I’m happy that I picked Sexy Sienna in the Hot Lips collection. It is a beautiful shade for summer. And of course I’m excited to extend my little CT rose gold collection.
Have you picked up any from Charlotte Tilbury Hot Lips collection? What lipstick formulation do you gravitate towards?
Until next time beauties,
Much love always,
