Guerlain Holiday 2105: Perles Des Neiges

Guerlainmeteorites2015main

This must be the most anticipate release for this holiday!  Well at least it was for me:)  You can never have enough of these little pots of Meterorites balls right!

I placed an order from Escentual as soon as I found out that it was available in the UK.

This year the packaging is everything!  The casing is  a snowball, and there are some star-shaped pieces within these meteorites pearls. It also comes with a powder puff with a golden ribbon.

I read that the delicate illumination is perfected with the beige pearls to even out the skin tone, champagne to brighten, and gold for a sun-kissed effect. This beauty is also supposed to blur lines and imperfections for a radiant result.  Some loves Guerlain Meteorites and addicts to the effects that they can give.  And some just can not tell the difference and do not understand the need to incorporate them in their makeup routine.

As usual, there’s a violet fragrance to these Meteorites.  I find that the fragrance is stronger than the other version that I have.

How beautiful are they!

You can apply to the entire face to as a finishing powder or highlight the cheekbones and high points of the face for a boost of radiance.  This year edition the powder reads a little to glittery for me to use a finishing powder so I have been loving it as a highlighter.  This is my personal taste and because I have oily skin.  Furthermore,  most of my face products do contain some sort of illuminating effect already.

Verdict:  I am in love with the packaging.  It definitely deserves to be a collector’s piece.  I love the subtle highlighting effect that I gives and I’m sure on the day I need a major boost of radiance…this will come in very hand:)

You can purchase Guerlain Meteorites Holiday 2015 most UK Stockists such as Selfridges, John Lewis and Debenhams.

Are you tempted to purchase anything from Guerlain Holiday 2015 collection?  What is your most anticipate item or collection this holiday?

Oh, the little stars are just adorable! I am also in love with the packaging – ain’t no shame there; sometimes the packages these things are housed in are even better than the item itself!

Oh my GOSH the packaging of that Meterorites!!! Never mind the little star pearls – the sphere is beyond beautiful. I’ve seen so many pictures of the star peals but I did not anticipate how gorgeous the snowball is… ah ah ah! I’m seriously contemplating breaking my year-long no buy for this beauty! I’m going to repost your entry if you don’t mind? And I see that you got a Rouge G lipstick too? It looks like it’s got little snowflakes embossed on it? ::DROOL::

Year-long no buy?! Wow hats off to you! That is a real challenge. Yes of course would love you to repost. Yes I have got the lipstick too but have not had a chance to take pics. I think this item will serve you well for a good few years…then maybe it doesn’t seem that expensive…

Yes, I have a few Meterorites already… I do use them but I think mainly I like to collect them! 😛 You also sold me when you said the violet scent is STRONGER than the older ones you have! 😀

Reblogged this on stash matters and commented:
I had seen quite a few promotional images of the Guerlain Holiday 2105 Perles Des Neiges Meteorites, but nothing prepared me for how beautiful the snowball orb-like packaging is! This just MIGHT be the item that I’d break my No-Buy for….! I’m so smitten with this! <3

I’m addicted to my Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powders. Everyday I wear them. I love them!! How do these compare?

I love Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powders too! They breath life back onto my face. Different Meteorites Pearls colours are meant to correct colour/skin tone or to illuminate. I find this edition is a little more glittery(more so than Hourglass Ambient Lighting) so if you want more than the subtleness from Ambient Lighting…these might be what you need:) The design and packaging are different of course…for me to swirl my brush onto those pearls sometimes is everything:)
