Look at my King and Queen!  How awesome and regal do they look!

Look at the intricate design!

Each lipstick comes in a glossy black cardboard box with a red velvet shell lining, a small black pouch ( I read that it is silk but feels much rougher than silk) and a black ribbon that you can use to wear as a necklace.

The lipstick feels heavy and doesn’t stand up.

The lipstick number is printed on the interior tube.

Today I’m reviewing Rouge Louboutin 001M .

Here’s another close up of Rouge Louboutin 001M.

The swatches were taken indoors under natural daylight.  They were not proper solid swipes as I did not want to press the bullet to hard just in case I would break it (yes I have done that during swatching!)

It was very easy to swipe, it glides on opaquely.  And it really stained the skin that I had to wiped it down a few times and scrubbed it away.

Now here comes the impressive part…I love matte lipsticks and I have a variety of them from different brands.  Rouge Louboutin 001M exceeded all my expectations.  It glides on my lips easily with opaque strokes.  It didn’t dry my lips out at all.  I normally would have to dabb some sort of lip balm onto my lips during wear but with Rouge Louboutin 001,  I didn’t have the need to. Rouge Louboutin 001M stayed on my lips for over 7 hours before I saw some fading in the inner parts of the lips.  There was transfer to the coffee cup when I had a sip or two at work but there was minimal transfer to my teeth (which always happen when I wear bold lipsticks).

There is a mild rose scent when I sniff the lipstick but on my lips I couldn’t detect anything.

Now, we all know how expensive these Loubie lippies are.  I was lucky that it was my birthday so it was given as a present.  Do I think it’s worth the money? Personally,  I think so.  You can use the lippy as a neck charm or bag charm. It is a gorgeous luxurious item that would adorn any vanity table.  I can not recommend other shades or finishes but if you have to splurge on one…let’s it be Rouge Louboutin 001M…a clasic red!

Verdict:  It is total LOVE for me.  It is a one off purchase and that I would treasure this baby for a long time coming.

Rouge Louboutin 001M was purchased from Selfridges instore.  You can also purchase it online.

Are you tempted by any of Christian Louboutin lipsticks?  What do you think of the price?

the packaging is gorgeous, if not a bit too much. But I don’t think I’d splash out like £60 on a lippie, mainly because (sadly) I couldn’t afford to do so. Gorgeous shades though xx

I want one so bad! I would definitely purchase the nude shade. They are $90 at sephora, hopefully one day I’ll buy one! The packaging is stunning.

They are beautiful!! I am always tempted by Louboutin’s packaging. This would have to be gifted to me because I personally can’t justify $90USD on a lipstick when my $6 Colourpop works amazing, although not even close to being as beautiful. You are one lucky gal!!

Love this! I have Me Nude but have still yet to try it! I will do so of course, but I want to treasure it brand new for just a little longer.

So pretty!! I really want one, but still just haven’t been able to justify the price even though it would be a collector’s item for me. Maybe for my birthday or Christmas. Beautiful post!
