Hope you had a relaxing Sunday.
I have been experimenting with Burberry Gold Pearl Wet & Dry Glow Shadow for over a month now and it’s time I spill the beans:)
I wrote a review on the Nude No.002 describing how much I love it. With Gold Pearl on the other hand, I was so underwhelmed. I think it is due to the fact that it is very similar to my skin tone and it doesn’t show up as well.
Burberry Gold Pearl is a pale neutral gold shimmer. The texture of the eyeshadow is similar to Nude which is finely milled and cream-like. The shimmer is finer and less noticeable than Nars Dual-Intensity Eyeshadows. I like to apply it dry using my fingers. Applying the shadow wet will give yield a more intense metallic look.
I have used Gold Pearl to highlight the corners of my eyes and as a wash over my lid on a natural make-up days. On my oily lids, pairing with a primer, Gold Pearl lasts 7-8 hours before starting to crease.
Verdict: Burberry Gold Pearl Wet & Dry Glow Shadow comes in a luxurious compact. The texture of the shadow is divine and the subtle shimmer is beautiful but I can’t say I am in love with it. It is a nice-to-have and not a must-have.
I purchased Burberry Gold Pearl Wet & Dry Glow shadow directly from Burberry.com.
Have you tried the new Wet & Dry eyeshadow formula from Burberry? Will you be tempted to try Gold Pearl No.001?
