SPOTLIGHT ON LIPSTICK QUEEN | NEW LAUNCHES

Lipstick Queen Rear View Mirror Lip Lacquers and Altered Universe Lip Glosses

“With the right lip, anything is possible.

Lipstick Queen is a brand that I’ve come across many times but haven’t managed to try anything from the brand.  Now I’m seriously thinking how I have been missing out!

The brand has recently released some newness and I’ve had a chance to test them out.  Read on to find out what they are!

REAR VIEW MIRROR LIP LACQUER | £22

Lipstick Queen Rear View Mirror Lip Lacquers

The lip lacquer comes in a chic silver pen with a twist up mechanism.

Inspired by the reflective surface of a shiny new car (think fresh, glossy paint), these lip lacquers glide on my lips so effortlessly.  They provide such intense pigmentation and glorious shine.

The formula is enriched with vitamin E to provide lips with antioxidant protection with every application. Its jelly formula melts on contact and adheres to the lips for long-wearing, medium coverage without leaving them sticky or tacky.  The formula is truly fantastic; fabulous luminous colour payoff with striking reflective shine, incredible long-wearing yet feels like a balm.

There is an extensive range of shades available.  I have four here to show you.

Lipstick Queen Rear View Mirror Lip Lacquer Swatches
Top to Bottom: Little Nude Coupe, Berry Tacoma, Fast Car Coral and Little Red Convertible

ALTERED UNIVERSE LIP GLOSSES |£20

Lipstick Queen Altered Universe Lip Glosses

I found love with these lip glosses!  They are enriched with crushed pearls that capture and reflect light perfectly!

The formula is super innovative!  Each shade morphs between tones for prismatic, multi-dimensional colour.   Incredibly illuminating and ethereal!

The lip gloss can be worn alone or layered with another lip product.  I love using them both ways.  They glide on with ease.  The finish is a stunning lustrous gleam that is long-lasting.  Also they feel hydrating on with no stickiness or gloopy feel.

I have three shades to show you.

Lipstick Queen Altered Universe Lip Glosses Swatches:
Left to Right: Aurora, Shooting Star and Space Cadet
  • Shooting Star: iridescent 24K gold with jade reflection (my favourite)
  • Aurora: shimmering burnt rose with multi-faceted pearls
  • Space Cadet: icy lilac glow

My swatches do not do them justice!

LIP RESTORE SCRUB | £18

The scrub comes in a convenient twist up pen system.  There is a soft bristled brush tip and the gel product is dispensed through the centre.

The formula is enriched with peppermint and coconut oils and limonene, which provide a naturally soft and non-irritating exfoliation for lips.

Using circular motion, I massage the scrub into lips with the brush tip. It gently buffs and removes any flakes or dead skin without any abrasion.   There’s a comforting and cooling sensation.   I then gently tap in the excess product.   My lips feel and look polished, ready for any lipstick application.

I find using the scrub once a day prior to makeup application is more than sufficient.

LIP RESTORE BALM | £18

The balm is also housed in a convenient twist up pen, ideal for conducting lip care on the go.

The formula is enriched with shea butter, peppermint oil, soybean oil and vegetable oils as well as pomegranate extract and limonene to repair and hydrate lips.

The balm feels nourishing and hydrating on.  I use it periodically throughout the day when needed or applied a thicker layer before bed as a night-time mask.

Final thoughts

I’m such a fan!  Absolutely blown away by everything I’ve tried here.  The Altered Universe Lip Gloss formula is one of the best I have come across!

Lipstick Queen is available at Space NK, Look Fantastic, John Lewis and other stockists.

Thank you for being here today!

Much love always,
