There are many products I love from Ouai, from the Volume spray, the Texturing spray to the Hair and Body oil! Today, let’s discuss some of Ouai newness that I have been LOVING!
For those whose are not familiar with OUAI, the brand was founded by Jen Atkin who is responsible for maintaining the manes of Klan Kardashian, Gigi Hadid and Gwen Stefani to name a few. Ouai range is free of Parabens, Sulphate and doesn’t test on animals.
Ouai Scalp and Body Scrub
The scrub is housed is a cute tub and is full of sugar crystals with a probiotic blend and coconut oil.
It’s a deep cleansing, foaming scrub, perfect for a weekly detox for your scalp and as well as your skin. The sugar crystals soften and gently exfoliate my hair/skin beautifully. While the sugar crystals remove the impurities, the probiotics works to strengthen our skin’s natural defence and the coconut oil hydrates as well as nourish the skin. Such a bonus that it smells utterly delightful too!
This is such a gorgeous multi-tasking product. I have combination hair, greasy roots and dry, damaged ends. This scrub thoroughly cleans my scalp, much much appreciated by someone who has acrylic nails like me. And thank goodness my scalp is less itchy, less flaky! I love that luxurious and fresh feeling after! (the feeling you get after visiting your hairdresser.)
My husband also adores this scrub. His short and thin mane enjoys the immaculate and indulgent clean.
I wouldn’t want to use it too much on my body, I will reserve it especially for my scalp. I also use the tips from the founder, Jen Atkin, adding a small amount of my OUAI Repair shampoo to the scrub for a deeper scalp cleansing.
Repair Shampoo and Conditioner
I have dry, damaged, fizzy and coarse hair. Not the best right! My hair tends to have a mind of its own and sheds when it wants. I have tried a few different haircare products but so far nothing gives a visible result.
The Ouai repair shampoo has a relative thick gel texture so a little goes a long way for a good lather. It contains Ouai smart technology complex, tamarind seed extract, amino acid blend, jasmine and sunflower. The formulation is designed to repair fragile strands to leave hair stronger and shinier. It has a light floral scent which is very uplifting and pampering. It cleans my hair well without stripping off the moisture.
I have been trying the repair shampoo and conditioner for a few weeks. I’m so happy with the current status of my hair! It feels softer, looks silkier and shinier. I’m very glad the pair is colour/safe too so my colour is protected.
These days, my hair just falls in place looking presentable even without me trying too much. My hair doesn’t feel weighed down or gets greasy too quickly neither.
With these Ouai trio, I have been in hair heaven. My hair smells gorgeous, looks healthy and manageable for days after a wash. I guess the dry shampoo will have to wait!
You can find Ouai haircare range at Space NK, Cult Beauty and other stockists.
