HAVE A FLAWLESS BASE WITH LANCÔME TEINT IDOLE ULTRA WEAR RANGE

If you follow me on Instagram, you would know I adore Lancôme Teint Ultra Idole Ultra Wear Foundation.  Lancôme has since added 2 more stellar base products to this Ultra Wear range.  I think it’s about time I scream and shout about these staples of mine.

Lancôme Teint Idole Ultra Wear Foundation 24H Wear & Comfort Retouch Free SPF15| £31.50/30ml

In February this year, Lancôme reinvented the iconic Teint Idole Ultra 24H foundation to Teint Idole Ultra Wear.  The already luxurious looking bottle had some new sleek and modern touches added to it.  And what’s more impressive is that Lancôme extended the shades to a massive 40! #MyShadeMyPower

We all know I’m an oily gal and I tend to opt for long wearing foundation with a matte finish.  However, these foundations tend to look cakey and too flat.  Lancôme Teint Idole Ultra Wear Foundation offers what I’ve searched for, a luminous matte finish that doesn’t compromise on the longevity and controls the shine effectively.  I love that it gives a radiant, smooth and velvety finish.  Depending on the occasion, you can build up the coverage as desired.  I feel that the finish is very natural.  It does an excellent job to even out skin tone and smooth out fine lines.  The foundation holds up perfectly with minimal creasing or fading up to 7-8 hours on my oily skin.  It is one of the longest wearing foundations that I have in my stash.

What Makes The Difference?

– Eternalsoft Polymer – allows increased comfort level with ultra-long wear
– NAI pigments – specially coated pigments maintain consistent pH level with skin, so colour stays true all day
– Perlite and Silica – two of the most effective oil-absorbing ingredients

The texture feels creamy and blends out seamlessly.  It sets relatively fast, so working in small areas at a time is best.  There is a floral scent that fades away quickly upon application.

I have been wearing Lancôme Teint Ultra Wear Foundation on and off for over 8 months without realising there is alcohol in the formulation until recently.  It hasn’t broken me out or affected my skin in any ways.  I do practise a strict skincare ritual.  If you have sensitive skin, it’s best to get a sample first.

I have two shades from the extensive 40 shades.  The following swatches were taken indoors in natural lighting.

Lancôme Teint Idole Foundation Stick SPF 15| £25.50/ 6g

In September, Lancôme introduced a new treat, Teint Idole Ultra Wear Sticks.  Once again, the range comes in an impressive 20 shades.

I really like how convenient and mess-free these foundation sticks are.  A few swipes on, blend away and your base is covered! If you need to mix shades, that would be an easy task too.  These are so good on the go, throw them in your bag for touch ups, etc.  They are super easy to blend so fingers will do!

The formula is outstanding.  It is creamy enough for an easy application, melds away into your skin and blends out effortlessly.  It dries down to a powder, natural matte finish which feels super light weight on my skin.  The coverage is medium but you can sheer it out or build it up easily.  I love that it is fragrance-free and so long wearing.  It wears well on my oily skin for up to 6-7 hours before blotting is needed.

You can also perfect your contouring with these Lancôme Teint Idole Ultra Wear Sticks.  Apply a lighter shade down the sides of your nose, on the Cupid’s bow and on the top of the cheekbones to brighten the face, and a darker shade across the top of the forehead, the hollows of your cheekbones to create a defined look.  I find that these sticks make spot-concealing so convenient too.

Some swatches coming up:

Lancôme Teint Idole Ultra Wear Camouflage High Coverage Concealer£22/12ml

Along with the Teint Idole Ultra Wear Sticks, this ultra pigmented concealer was introduced.  Let me tell you, this is camouflage!  The coverage blows me away every time I use it!  It seriously conceal anything with the tiniest amount!  The texture is intriguing.  It’s a little bouncy, elastic-y feel yet very creamy.  I’d squeeze out a pin-sized amount, warm it up with my finger and dab gently over the areas that I want to work on, pushing the product into the skin. Redness, pimples or age spots…all can be taken care of!  The concealer doesn’t crease or budge all day long.  I love love that the finish is very natural and almost undetectable, just amazing!

There are 12 shades available.  I have swatches of two to share with you.

These are such wonderful and powerful offerings from Lancôme.  Definitely check these out if you’re in the market for medium coverage, satin matte bases.  I’d highly recommend the concealer!
