MY GOLDEN PICKS FROM VICTORIA BECKHAM X ESTÉE LAUDER AW17 COLLECTION

Well well well, Victoria Beckham X Estée Lauder take 2!  After the much successful initial launch last year, Victoria Beckham and Estée Lauder are back and releasing more products with more city looks this time round.  Each product has amazing luxurious details and design, very special! Very Victoria!  I have been an avid fan of Estée Lauder (Double Wear is staple!) and admired Victoria as a hard-working business woman and a devoted mother, there was no way I would skip this collection.  After much consideration, I settled on Black Cassis Matte Lipstick and Blonde Gold Eye Foil.

Let me present you with some beautiful golden details!

Victoria Beckham Estée Lauder Eye Foil in BLONDE GOLD| £28/3.5g

Blonde Gold is housed in a weighty jar with a beautiful gold lid.  Absolutely luxurious and glamorous!  Blonde Gold has a unique and interesting formula.  It’s a thin sticky paste, molten liquid, that looks more white than gold in the pot but once applied, it’s a BEAUTIFUL reflective light gold.  Now this baby sets relatively fast and lasts forever, even on the inner corner of my eyes, INSANE!  This has some serious bling factor with fine visible gold glitters.  Personally I would only wear this all over the lids on a night out or special occasions.  You can wear it on its own for some sheer shine and sparkling goodness or layer it on top of any shimmery eyeshadow to give it a POW!  The pigmentation is out of this world, you only need a minute amount to achieve that extra sparkle and dimension.  This pot will last me a lifetime!

Victoria Beckham Estée Lauder Matte Lipstick in BLACK CASIS | £38/3.4g

Black Cassis comes in a cute, chic gold bullet that was designed to fit in any handbag, but fear not as it does contain the average weight of a lipstick.  Black Cassis is described as a velvety French wine shade.  It’s a purplish dark red on my lips, absolutely Fall-Winter appropriate. It is a bold, vampy yet sexy and sophisticated shade. Personally I think the finish is more of a satin.  It is very creamy and rich, in a good way!  It glides on smoothly with amazing colour pay-off. It feels light and super hydrated throughout the wear.  I get a good 5-6 hours of perfect wear if I don’t eat. The coverage is buildable (not that you need to) but it could get a little patchy and can cling onto any dry patches on your lips so be sure to prep and exfoliate your lips prior to use.  My preference for everyday look is to use Black Cassis as a wine stain.  It’s fun and great that you can get more looks from one product. I don’t detect any discernible scent or taste from Black Cassis.  Oh did I say I love the VB stamp! It’s simple yet very imposing!

As you probably could tell, I am over the moon with my picks from the Victoria Beckham X Estée Lauder  AW17 collection.  I’m sure to treasure these fashionable golden makeup pieces for years to come.  I am HIGHLY tempted to pick up the other eye foil in Burnt Anise and the other oh so golden Skin Perfecting Powder!

What do you think about the Victoria Beckham X Estée Lauder collaboration?  Are you thinking of picking anything up?

The collection is currently available exclusively on Estée Lauder site and Selfridges.

Thank you for being here today!

Much love always,

Sandyxo

I think you picked the best of them from this year’s collection. Sadly, the eyeshadows were not as good as last year’s…. I’m tempted by Black Cassis too!
