GIVENCHY GYPSOPHILA LES SAISONS HEALTHY GLOW POWDER REVIEW

Givenchy released the Givenchy Gypsophila Les Saisons Summer 2017 makeup collection last month on Escentual. The inspiration for this makeup collection is a particular type of carnation, the Gypsophila flower, also known as baby’s breath.  Gypsophila blossoms signify strength and serenity, 2 of life’s wonderful attributes to practise.  I picked up the master piece of the collection, the Floral Edition Les Saisons Healthy Glow Powder in 02 Douce Saison.

This is a large compact, 16g!  The packaging is simple but sleek with a panoramic mirror. This would probably last me for a life time:)

Upon opening the compact, you will find a stunning design of the signature flower of the collection pressed into the powder.  The unique formulation of the Givenchy Les Saisons Healthy Glow Powder is crafted from a liquid gel, which evaporates when baked to leave only pigment behind.  This is meant to ensure long-lasting, natural-looking and flattering colour with every use, while added polymers and squalene keep skin feeling soft and moisturised.

It took me a while to build up courage to dip into this precious piece of art.  But hey YOLO so I decided to fully appreciate the beauty (although I’m only concentrating on the very lower half on the pan:))!

Here are some swatches on my moisturised arm in natural lighting indoors.

Givenchy Gypsophila Healthy Glow Powder is a light brown with warm yellow undertone and a luminous sheen. It gives such a natural looking sun-kissed glow.  I am loving the formulation of this Healthy Glow Powder.  Although the powder looks quite hard pressed and I assumed I would need to use a very stiff brush to dig into it in order to pick up product.  On the contrary, the powder is pigmented, soft and silky to the touch.  A gentle touch using my Chikuhodo cheek brush picks up sufficient product.  Be warned however, use light hand if your are very fair otherwise things could get rather orange:)

You will be glad to know that the dedicate flower imprints are actually quite robust (yay!).  I also love using Givenchy Gypsophila Healthy Glow Powder as eyeshadow too, perfect for those rushed mornings or no-makeup makeup look.  Givenchy Gypsophila Healthy Glow Powder blends out effortlessly and wears well over 8 hours without any patchiness.

The Verdict

I absolutely enjoy the healthy looking complexion that Givenchy Gypsophila Healthy Glow Powder offers.  The imprints of Gypsophila is beyond beautiful.  It is definitely worthy of being a collector’s piece.

I purchased Givenchy Gypsophila Healthy Glow Powder | £44 here.

Have you picked Givenchy Gypsophila Healthy Glow Powder up?

Much love always,

Sandyxo

I’d be reluctant to dig into that beauty too! I like your idea of using this as an eye shadow – great dual purpose item!

This is truly a collector’s piece, too pretty to use. I didn’t know the meaning behind baby’s breath, nor did I know they’re a certain type of carnation. I do love baby’s breath and purchase it frequently, now the meaning makes it that much more special. This bronzing powder looks so gorgeous and I love your idea of using it as and eye shadow as well. Great review Sandy and stunning photos!
