Housed in the iconic tortoiseshell-like compact, the Terracotta Light Bloom features the stunning sun-shaped flower design!  The base shade is inspired by Guerlain’s best-selling shade Terracotta 03 paired with a pink heart and adorned with the most beautiful gold overspray.  It’s a collector’s piece for sure.  Honestly, it took courage for me to dip in the powder!

I’m happy to report that the texture of Light Bloom is soft, creamy and finely-milled, feels absolutely luxurious.  It blends effortlessly and flawlessly and melts into the skin.  I like that it warms up the skin without looking orange. The colour payoff is amazing too. That said, you can go as natural or build up intensity and it never looks overdone.

Application wise, you can simply swirl the brush in circular motion and mix all shades together then apply to the face in a “number 3” gesture to warm up the complexion with a lightly shimmering touch of pink.  I find that I don’t really need to apply other blush on top.  However you can definitely pick up the pink blush separately for an extra pop of pink if you wish. It’s absolutely effortless to achieve that fresh radiant sun-kissed look with the powder.  I love that the finish is light-weight and non-powdery even after heavy layering.  The bronzer lasts well on my combo skin, fading a little after 7-8 hours.

Finally, if you are familiar with Guerlain Terracotta, you’ll recognise that nostalgic fragrance every time you open up Light Bloom.  The scent instantly transports you to a dreamy tropical destination. I could just sniff the powder all day! I find the scent dissipates quickly upon application and doesn’t irritate my skin.
