Hourglass is a brand that I really enjoy, the products are always of high quality and performance. Recently, Hourglass releases a few new stunning additions and I knew I needed them! I picked up some of the Scattered Light Glitter Eyeshadows and the Veil Translucent Setting Powder.
Scattered Light Glitter Eyeshadows | £26/3.5g

Each eyeshadow is housed in a small weighty glass jar. Every pot comes with a protective shifter. I threw them away however in hindsights, I should have kept them so the eyeshadows can stay put better.
The formula of these Scattered Light Glitter Eyeshadows is amazing! They are crushed pearls and pressed glitters that are cream to powder. They are so easy to apply, finger tips are best for maximum intensity and smoothness but a flat synthetic brush will also work. The pigmentation is fabulous and buildable. They last well over my oily lids (primed), 6/7 hours before I notice any creasing.
The Glitter Eyeshadows work well over other cream eyeshadows as well as powder eyeshadows. They layer beautifully on top of each other to give you your customised shades. The glitters are not chunky, just incredibly reflective. There is absolutely no fallout during wear neither.
I’m really enjoying them and have been using them repeatedly since I’ve purchased them. They give such glorious, sparkly reflective finish. I want to pick up the rest of the shades!
Veil Translucent Setting Powder | £42/10.5g
Packaging
The packaging is so sleek and chic. It has an innovative Hourglass signature gold sifter which I really love! This allows the desired amount of powder to be dispensed, eliminating all the mess!
Performance
The setting powder is incredibly finely milled and ultra lightweight. The powder has a light ivory tint to it and contains light-reflecting particles. The powder blurs imperfections and gives the skin a soft-focus effect. It works incredible well to set my under-eye concealer offering such a flawless and airbrushed finish. You really can keep applying the powder without feeling heavy or cakey. I don’t find it control my oiliness well so I don’t tend to use it to set my entire face. I feel that this setting powder would be fantastic for people with drier skin types.
Overall, I’m really happy with what I’ve picked up. They feel luxurious and perform stunningly! LOVE!
