Marks and Spencer’s own makeup brand, Autograph, has worked with supermodel Rosie Huntington-Whiteley to create her own line of cosmetics for a few years. As you would expect from Rosie, there are lots of cream products; products that are going to enhance your natural beauty rather than hide your imperfections. You can be sure that the shades are very classic and always fresh! The price tag is ‘mid-range’; it’s not quite drugstore but it’s not super-premium. The packaging really looks and feel luxurious in gorgeous rose gold. And if you follow me on Instagram, you’d know I have a MASSIVE obsession for Rose Gold so these get a huge tick from me!
Whenever I see cream blushers, I always think of Lisa Eldridge. She can create such beautiful dewy and healthy everyday makeup looks that one can only envy. This time, it was no exception! I was hoping these Starstruck stick would help me create a flawless look with everything in synergy.
I was sent two new shades, Pale Blush and Rose. Pale Blush is a light red and Rose is a light pink. What I like most about these sticks is the ease of application. You just dab them on your cheeks then blend out with your fingers and that’s it. I would say these have sheer coverage and slightly buildable. Once applied, these don’t dry down completely on my cheeks and remained tacky. They give a natural-looking flushed and youthful finish. The blushes don’t look greasy or migrate during wear, making it compatible with those with combination skin. The shades look ever so slightly different once applied. I think the two shades I have would work well on fair to medium skin tones.
You can also conveniently use these Starstrucks on your lips to match the colours of your cheeks. I do find them very sheer but feel very comfortable and nourished on.
The Starstrucks have a light vanilla scent, almost edible! You can’t really detect the scent to be honest, unless you’re actually sniffing the stick itself:)
Final thoughts
The Starstruck Lip & Cheek Colours definitely reflect Rosie Huntington-Whitely Ultimate “girl-on-the-go” style! You can create rosy flushed cheeks and lips in minutes. Great to have them in your bag for a quick and easy look/touchups for sure. If you’re into natural-looking dewy flushed looks, I think you would love these Starstruck Lip & Cheek Colours (especially if Rose Gold packaging is your thing!).
You can find three new Starstruck Lip and Cheek Colours in Pale Blush, Pink Shine and Rose (£15 each) at M&S Beauty nationwide and online.
Have you tried anything from Rosie for Autograph line? What’s your take on Blusher sticks?
