I am a hopeless romantic and I am more than ready for Valentine’s Day (can you tell with the roses:)) The wonderful team at Charlotte Tilbury surprised me with an amazing Valentine’s gift a few days a go (check my Instagram for some pics). Seriously I’m sure I reverted to the age of 4, doing all sorts of funny dances! To be honest, I would have been extremely happy with just the beautiful balloons but there was also a generous gift included. My Valentine’s Day is certainly made!
For this Valentine’s Day, Charlotte Tilbury is at YOUR LIP SERVICE. She brought back two iconic limited-edition shades and unveils seven new lip products. If you are a follower of mine on Instagram and on this blogosphere, you will know I adore Charlotte Tilbury lip products (you can read previous reviews here, here and here) Needless to say, I was mega excited to try these newness out ASAP!
Following the phenomenal success of The Queen, Charlotte Tilbury has designed two more darling lipsticks, Legendary Queen and The Duchess, inspired by her love of the Monarch.
Look at this YOUR LIP SERVICE collection though!
L-R: The Legendary Queen, The Duchess and The Queen
The collection comes in an adorable box with iconic images of London. This set would definitely make anyone’s Valentine’s Day! You can purchase the set for £65 or individually for £24.
I like that Your Lip Service Collection offers a beautiful range of shades. You can definitely feel and look like a Queen on any occasion!
The New Matte Revolution in Legendary Queen: a perfect neutral wine shade. It’s literally so perfect, not too red and not too deep or vampy. The Legendary Queen took my heart at first use! Gliding on smoothly with fabulous colour impact. I couldn’t help but to keep on checking my lips the whole time. I certainly felt royal and glorious. Legendary Queen stayed on perfectly for over 6 hours on my lips, survived 2 meals and was still going strong. I normally would re-apply my lip product around the 4 hours mark to add more hydration for comfort.
The New K.I.S.S.I.N.G in The Duchess: a stunning and sophisticated tea-rose pink. It has fabulous pigmentation, very hydrating and has a beautiful glossy effect. The lipstick ingredients include a blend of waxes, light-diffusing pigments and Lipstick Tree extracts to protect your lips from UV damage and give you a luminous, full-bodied pout. I paired the Duchess with Supersize me and darn my lips looked amazingly FULL! The Duchess wears very well over 6 hours. It feels extremely lightweight, non-drying and fades evenly.
The Iconic Matte Revolution in The Queen: a glowy and bright reddish pink with blue undertone. It instantly lifts and brightens your complexion. The formula is just as fabulous as others in the Matte Revolution range; easy to apply, long lasting, light weight and non-drying (already reviewed here).
Staying on the lipstick category, Charlotte Tilbury also brought back the Matte Revolution in Opium Noir. Opium Noir was part of the Film Noir Nights gift set which I loved and reviewed here. It is a divine deep berry shade, very seductive! It’s extremely rich in pigmentation. I also wear it as a stain for a more toned down look.
Below, I have swatched Opium Noir and Bond Girl next to Legendary Queen, The Duchess, The Queen and Walk of Shame for comparisons.
As you can see Opium Noir is a much deeper berry shade and less red than Legendary Queen. Bond Girl is muted medium dark berry. I don’t actually own Walk of Shame lipstick so I swatched the Lip Cheat counterpart here. Walk of Shame is more muted, darker and more of an organgey red versus Legendary Queen.
For this Valentine’s Day, Charlotte Tilbury also releases five new Lip Cheat Lip Liners (£16 each)! Big YAS! For some, using a lip liner is an extra step in their makeup routine but for me it is an essential step. Why is it must for me? I get to resize and reshape my lips to cheat a fuller and more perfect lips! Sometimes it is all that I do then pop on some lip balm.
I always have back ups of Charlotte Tilbury Lip Cheat Lip Liners in Pillow Talk and Pink Venus. The Lip Cheat Lip Liners are some of my top favourites in my makeup stash. Now I am so chuffed that I have the matching shades to go with the my lipsticks!
From L-R: Walk of Shame, Bond Girl, Hot Gossip, Supersize Me and Love Trap
Formulation wise, It’s good to know that Charlotte Tilbury Lip Cheat Lip Liners are:
• Waterproof formula
• Transfer resistant formula
Walk of Shame: A muted medium dark copper red. Would pair perfectly with Matte Revolution Walk of Shame.
Love Trap: A medium dark peachy brown. This would look plump with K.I.S.S.I.N.G Hepburn Honey and Matte Revolution Birkin Brown.
Hot Gossip: A gorgeous light brick brown. I love pairing this with Matte Revolution Bond Girl for a little ombre effect.
Supersize Me: A neutral pink nude that probably would go with any nude lipsticks. I paired it with The Duchess and loved it.
Bond Girl: A muted natural berry shade with warm undertone. So glad Charlotte Tilbury brought this Lip Cheat Lip Liner out. All the powerful, seductive Bond Girls out there should be happy!
All the Lip Cheat Lip Liners trace and glide over my natural lip outlines effortlessly. They smooth out the texture so lipstick can goes on fabulously. The longevity is amazing, easily making 4-6 hours mark. I am able to slightly over-drawn my lips without it looking too unnatural. So here’s to fuller, perfectly shaped lips and no more dreaded lipstick feathering! I also would use any of these Lip Cheat Lip Liners as a full coverage base of lip colour!
These are phenomenal additions to Charlotte Tilbury range. I enjoy using every single one of them and they will certainly stay in my daily routine. I hope you’ll find them in your Valentine’s Day presents this year!
