ETUDE HOUSE CUTE POPSICLE WATER GEL TINT

One of the cutest creation that I have ever laid eyes on! I absolutely “needed” one of these Etude House Dear Darling Water Gel Tints:)! The delights of summer and ice cream in my hands!

Introducing Etude House sweet long-lasting, hydrating, fresh and juicy water tints!  There are 6 shades in the range, all ends with Red in their names even though not all shades are red (lots of peeps are confused by the name!).  I picked up Jewel Red* #PK006 from Style Korean, a beautiful lip topper.

Let’s admire some more cuteness!

Look at the packaging!

Etude House is known for their cute packaging but they really have knocked the presentation out of the park with this release!  The adorable popsicle shaped lip tint is of similar size of an average nail polish.  The tan stubby popsicle stick twists open to reveal the opening of the product.

The slightly angled doe-foot applicator is a flexible pointed paddle.  In the centre of the applicator is a hole which eliminates the need to use both side of the applicator while applying the product.  It evenly disperses the product whichever side you use it on.

Truth to be told, when I picked Jewel Red I thought it was a light rosy nude shade.  The nude/pink packaging totally got me!  Jewel Red turns out to be a pretty lip topper .  The shimmers are multi-coloured and very fine.  Jewel Red has a plush gel consistency.  There is a transient cooling sensation upon on application.  The lip topper glides on smoothly and doesn’t emphasise dry patches or lines on my lips.  The tint feels light and hydrating, no stickiness or gloopiness business.  Jewel Red can be worn alone for a natural glossy look if that’s what you wish to do.  Due to the watery formulation, it doesn’t last very long, 1-2 hours possibly and disappears on any food consumption.  There is a sweet bubble gum scent to the tint which doesn’t bother me at all and dissipates quickly once applied.  Jewel Red gives your lips some lovely dimension and fresh, juicy look.

One little con about Jewel Red is the taste of the tint! My taste bud detects some bitterness which I don’t appreciate to be mixed with my food so I always wipe of the product off before eating.

Well, as you would have imagined I would have gotten one of these Etude House Dear Darling Water Gel Tints regardless of shade, scent or taste!  I have been showing Jewel Red off to my friends and taken lots of pictures of it (check them out on my Instagram).  I am resisting myself from collecting the other 5!  I do wish that the longevity could be slightly improved though.

packaging is so cute 😀 I read a few reviews and from what I gathered all the shades are different…I have red bean red and it lasts long for a gloss and looks great on lips
