SUQQU is one of the prestigious make-up brands that I would like to try more. Taking its name from the Japanese word meaning ‘posture with attitude’, SUQQU focuses on enhancing your radiant beauty. The brands oozes luxury and elegance in a very sophisticated and understated way.
This Fall 2016 SUQQU launches a range of beautiful Ombre blushes. Five are permanent and one is limited edition as far as I know. I picked up 01 Tsubomizaki to try. Being an ombre of coral to pink, I thought I would be very versatile for the transitional time from Summer to Fall.
Love the sleek packaging! So slim and elegant with the luxurious gold accent.
Here is the close up of Tsubomizaki, taken outdoor on an overcast day.
As you can see, SUQQU Pure Color Blush 01 features a beautiful gradient from a subtle coral glow to a more intense pink colour.
There is a little powder kicked up but the powderiness does not translate once applied to my cheeks. The texture of Tsubomizaki is thin, smooth, silky and finely-milled. I can see shimmer runs through the pan and more visible when swatched under room lighting, no obvious shimmers translate onto the skin however. Tsubomizaki blends well on my skin to a glowing finish without emphasising my skin texture. It has a medium coverage, quite pigmented compared to the standard SUQQU blushes. I find the coverage very buildable.
I tried to section out different areas to swatch so you can appreciate the gradient. Practically, you can only swirl your brush in all over the pan or concentrating at one end.
Overall I adore SUQQU Pure Color Blush 01 Tsubomikiza. I love the versatility it gives from being an ombre blush. The packaging is fabulous and the pigmentation is excellent. If you haven’t tried SUQQU, I would recommend you to try one of these new ombre blushes (their brushes are out of this world too).
What’s your current favourite blush? What do you think of ombre blushes?
