The line up:

I really love the pearlescent white handles and the chrome ferrules.  I actually don’t own any brushes with this design.

What Nanshy says:

Professional Make-up Artists use brushes for a natural, flawless, look. And to apply makeup with a light almost air brush quality. As professionals they need to work quickly and efficiently, plus consistently maintain fabulous results.

Nanshy brings you high-quality professional grade brushes that make it easy to enhance your beauty efficiently and effectively. Soft, lush, anti-bacterial, cruelty-free bristles held by robust copper ferrules on top of ergonomic handles – easy application of mineral, liquid and cream make-up. Always buffing and blending perfectly, creating the amazing velvety finish that the Pros achieve. And you can have, every day with Nanshy.

Easy to use, easy to care, easy to clean – That’s the Nanshy way.

The first brush I’d like to showcase is the Blush and Bronze brush.  This is one of my favourites in the set.  It is dense and soft.  I generally prefer smaller brush head for my blushes (does that mean I have a small face hehe?:)) but this one works very well with cream products or very pigmented powder blushes.  I would stipple the blush onto my cheeks then blend it out.  I also use it to blend my cream contour.

The above photo of the brush was taken after an application and has been washed a few times by this time. The photo below was taken when it was new.

Next we have Buffed Base brush.  This is my other favourite in the set.  It is great for foundation.  It performs well with me beloved Estée Lauder Double Wear.  It is soft and dense.  It gives you a full coverage finish and does not absorb too much products.  I love to enlist it for my finally blending after applying all my cream products so that all becomes seamless.

Then comes the Angled Airbrush.  I am unsure about this one.  Nanshy recommends using this with powder and blush.  I personally find it not soft enough to use with setting powder.  And I find the shape awkward to apply powder blush as I can’t blend so easily.  I primarily use this to blend out cream blushes or contour.  I have also used this to blend all my cream products together so no harsh lines remain.

This following picture shows the head of the Angled Airbrush.  Can you tell that the bristles are not that dense,

Now we have the Conceal Perfector brush.  When I first opened the box and saw this brush.  I was very excited.  I have always wanted to try a brush shape like this.  At first looks, I thought this would be my favourite brush out of the set.  But as it turns out,  this is my least favourite.  I find that it is to big to use and blend for my under-eye concealer.  The brush is not dense enough and I feel like that it just moves my concealer around streakily rather than blending it.  I tried to use it with Hourglass Dim Light powder to set the under-eye concealer but I didn’t quite like that neither:(  I like to use it to draw outlines for contouring.

Following is my capture of the Conceal Perfector brush head.  I personally think the bristles are too long and give ways too much for a concealing purposes.

Next up is the Flawless Foundation brush.  The bristles are again quite soft.  As the head is flat, I like to use the brush to add extra coverage to certain areas using stippling motion or small circular motion.  For bigger circular motion,  I like my brush to be denser and less give.

Overall,  I think the Nanshy Gobsmack Glamorous set is a great set of brushes.  I could happily finish my base with these brushes. There is no reason why you can’t use the brushes for any application you see fit. They look beautiful and the bristles are soft.  To me, they are comparable to other well-known brushes in my collection.  I have washed the brushes 4 times and there has been no shredding.

The set costs £34.99. You can find them on Nanshy’s official website.

Have you used Nanshy’s brushes?  Would you give them a try if you’re in the market for some new face brushes?

Thank you for reading and we shall chat again!

Wonderful review! I appreciate the pics showing the brushes at different angles. They would look so beautiful on a vanity with their crisp white handles.
