Hope your day is going well.
I couldn’t resist purchasing the very-hyped up cream eyeshadow from Tom Ford…
Tom Ford Spring 2015 Cream Colour for Eyes is described as a smokey gray. The colour is complex and extremely pigmented. You can catch some deep golden khaki gray, a blast of silvery glitter in a warm, rich taupe or a glimpse of gunmetal gray. The finish is glossy, grunge and glam.
The consistency of Tom Ford Spring 2015 Cream Colour for Eyes is lightweight and very blendable. It dries down to a more powder-like finish. You can definitely create a smokey eye look with Tom Ford Spring 2015 Cream Colour for Eyes. The trick is to let the colour sit for 1 minute in between layers, apply the first layer as a sheer wash, then progressively intensify the pigment by applying more and blending upwards. This is also good if used as a smokey liner along the upper or lower lash line. The trick to keeping the pigment rich is to apply with a small smokey eye brush along the upper lash line in a slightly messy smudged line. Let it sit for 30 seconds before you blend. Then repeat until you get the desired intensity.
On my lids, it does emphasise the texture of my eyelid if I have it too opaque. I have very oily lids and it starts to crease on me after 5-6 hours. It would emphasise the texture on my eyelids at this point. However, I can easily smooth it out with my finger to prolong the look for another hour.
I love using Tom Ford Spring 2015 Cream Colour for Eyes as a base. It works well with other Tom Ford Duos, Maybelline Colour Tattoo and Nars Dual Intensity eyeshadows.
Verdict: I love the complexity and the versatility of Tom Ford Spring 2015 Cream Colour for Eyes. I had hopes that it would not crease on my oily eyelids but 5-6 hours without creasing is good enough on somedays.
