By now you probably already know my love for Heimish Eyeshadows (reviewed here and here). When I saw their latest addition, the Coral Essay Eye Palette, on Style Korean, my heart skipped a beat! Scroll down to see why!
The palette comes encased in a cute box or rather more like a book. Love it!
As with the other palettes, the shadows are housed in a slim, sleek and sturdy case. There’s a large built-in mirror which I appreciate. For convenience, there’s also a dual ended brush included. I tend to use my regular brushes as I am familiar with their functionality. However, the included brush is not bad at all!
Top row L-R: Pure Peach, Peach Coral, Pink Coral, Bronze Coral
Bottom row L-R: Nude Coral, Coral Glitter, Pink Glitter, Litch Brown
There are eight shades in the palette; 3 mattes, 1 glitter, 1 duo chrome and 3 satin shades.
- Pure Peach: beautiful light peach, matte finish
- Peach Coral: a gorgeous, pigmented coral with warm undertone, matte finish
- Pink Coral: a satin reddish pink
- Bronze Coral: as the name implied, it’s a beautiful bronzy coral. I’d use it as a crease shade or as a wash of colour.
- Nude Coral: matte salmon
- Coral Glitter: a gorgeous bronze with gold glitters
- Pink Glitter: a stunning pearlescent pink duo chrome
- Litch Brown: a medium dark brown with micro gold shimmers
When I posted an image of Heimish Coral Essay Eye Palette on my Instagram, lots of people commented on the spring vibes they get from the shades. And I totally agree! That Peach Coral shade is EVERYTHING!! Oh Wait and the Coral Glitter too!
This palette has been on repeat of late and I am making a real dent in that Coral Glitter already. The matte shades have smooth and silky texture. Peach Coral pigmentation is amazing as you can probably tell from the swatch! Coral Glitter is LOVE! So sparkling and brightening! Pink Glitter is a beautiful duochrome that can be layered on top of other shades or as a tear duct highlight. I didn’t find the glitter shades migrate during wear which is a major plus point. The only shade that I find needs a little building up is Pink Coral.
Overall, I feel the quality of the shadows in Coral Essay Palette to be better than the previous palettes that I have tried from Heimish. All shades adhere to my lid well and blend out effortlessly. Shades are layering perfectly without any patchiness or skipping. They last all day on my oily lids (primed).
Coral Essay is amazingly versatile! You can create a fresh, youthful look with a soft wash of coral or pink shade. Deepen your look for a sophisticated finish with Litch Brown. Or of course you can get all glammed up with Coral Glitter.
Heimish Coral Essay Palette has a few repeat shades as in the Coralic Palette (reviewed here). At first glance, I thought they were very similar. However, the Peachy Coral in the Coral Essay Palette is a much more vibrant coral with a matte finish whereas the Coralic Coral is more of a light peachy coral in a satin finish. The Bronze Coral is very much different from any shades in the Coralic Palette.
Well that has concluded my Coral Essay! (see what I did there!) Heimish Coral Essay Eye Palette is a stunning and versatile palette, perfect for Spring and Summer. The palette contains some lights, some brights, a dark crease shade and all the glitters in between for all your desired looks. If you’re on the hunt for a palette with this colour scheme, I’d recommend you checking Heimish Coral Essay Dailism Eye Palette out.
